Today is our final day in Cochabamba. Its crazy how fast the last three weeks have flown by and how many wonderful new experiences we have had. The time spent here in Bolivia has completely exceeded all our expectations and has given us so many memories of events and the special people we shared them with. Not only were we able to immerse ourselves in a foreign culture, but we also had the chance to help so many others. We were all exposed to areas and aspects of medicine that we were completely ignorant of when we arrived. In addition to the medical experience we gained, just being able to spend time with the children in burn clinic and the effect that being with them has had on all of us made the trip totally worthwhile. We also had the chance to meet other volunteers from around the world who were here for a variety of reasons, from teaching in the schools to volunteering at orphanages. It was amazing to see just how many people give freely of their time to travel across the world and help others. We met people from Canada, England, Italy, Brazil, Australia, and Asia, with our interactions combining to make our trip a mulicultural experience. We now are packing and getting ready to meet the next group in La Paz, followed by a trip to Lake Titicaca, Machu Picchu and finally Lima. We're excited to see some more of South America, but also to share the stories with everyone when we get home. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read our blog, and we'll see you all soon.
